FOR CULINARY ARTS SENIORS OR RECENT GRADS
You could be selected for one of 10 scholarships to complete your bachelor’s in culinology at the University of Holy Cross in just two years — and at half the price.
The Transitioning Culinary Arts into Food Science program includes:
- A $1,500 stipend toward your last semester at your Community College.
- A 50% tuition discount for your first three semesters at UHC.
- A paid internship for your fourth (and final) semester at UHC.
Combining disciplines of culinary arts and food science, this program trains culinary arts students to become culinary innovators, food manufacturers, research chefs and more. With a bachelor’s, you’ll be on track to earn more than twice the salary of a culinary arts associate degree holder.
The Transitioning Culinary Arts into Food Science program is available to Community College Seniors or recent graduates of Culinary Arts enrolling at UHC.

Design and develop food products using principles of food chemistry, food processing, nutrition, sensory analysis and statistics. For example, your team could upcycle non-sellable ugly produce into an award-winning no-sodium, low-carb cracker recipe.
Ingredients, Additives, and Functionality
Learn the science behind the labels and the best methods for selecting different additives — colorants, flavors, nutraceuticals, stabilizers, preservatives — for food processing.
Paid Internship
Intern in the local food industry during your final year of study. You might develop a product for a client, like partnering with famous chefs to bottle their most popular sauces.
